DENTAL WHITENING

What Does Dental Whitening Do?

Dental whitening is a safe and effective way to whiten your smile by removing surface stains and lightening the natural colour of your teeth. The treatment uses a peroxide-based gel that targets discolouration caused by food, drinks, tobacco, and aging — leaving your teeth looking brighter and refreshed.

Removes Common Stains

Caused by coffee, tea, red wine, berries, and tobacco products, helping reverse everyday discolouration and restore a cleaner, more radiant appearance.

Lightens the Natural Tooth Shade

By breaking down deep-set pigments within the enamel, giving you a noticeably whiter smile without damaging the tooth structure.

Is Whitening Safe?

Yes! Teeth whitening is considered safe when done under the guidance of a dental professional. The whitening gel is specially formulated to be effective without damaging your enamel, and any temporary sensitivity or gum irritation is usually mild and short-lived. With proper use and care, whitening can brighten your smile safely and comfortably.

What to Expect: In Office Professional Whitening

Our in-office whitening treatment is a fast, effective way to dramatically brighten your smile — all in just 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Consultation & Shade Match

We’ll begin by discussing your whitening goals, assessing your current tooth shade, and selecting your target shade. We’ll also take “before” photos for a clear comparison.

Tooth Preparation
Your teeth will be gently polished, and a protective barrier will be applied to your gums and lips to prevent irritation from the whitening gel.
Whitening Treatment
A professional-strength whitening gel will be applied to your teeth in 3 to 4 cycles, each activated by a specialized LED light. The gel is reapplied as needed between cycles for even, consistent results.
Rinse, Review, & Aftercare
After the final cycle, we’ll rinse your teeth, remove the protective barriers, and review your results. You’ll receive post-whitening care tips to help maintain your brighter smile.

AFTERCARE

Avoid Stain-Causing Foods & Drinks

For the first 24–48 hours, your teeth are more prone to staining. Try to avoid dark foods and beverages like coffee, tea, red wine, cola, soy sauce, tomato-based sauces, berries, and chocolate. Smoking or using tobacco can also stain freshly whitened teeth.

Stick to a “Light Diet”

To help protect your results, focus on light-coloured foods. Great options include chicken, turkey, white fish, potatoes, rice, plain pasta, bananas, cauliflower, milk, plain yogurt, and eggs. These are less likely to stain and will help maintain your newly brightened smile.

Gentle Oral Hygiene

Continue brushing and flossing regularly, but use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth to reduce any discomfort. Avoid whitening toothpaste for a few days, as it can sometimes increase sensitivity right after treatment.

Maintain Your Results

To keep your smile bright long term, limit dark or acidic foods when possible, and try using a straw for stain-prone drinks like coffee or juice. Ask us about safe at-home touch-up options if you’d like to maintain your results between appointments.

POP Whitening Strips

POP Whitening Strips are a simple and affordable way to
refresh your smile — no impressions or appointments needed. These easy-to-use strips are designed to gently lift surface stains and brighten your teeth with minimal sensitivity.

They’re perfect for light stain removal, touch-ups between professional treatments, or for patients who want a low-maintenance option. Just apply the strips at home as directed — it’s a quick, convenient way to boost your smile on your own time.

Take-Home Whitening Kit

Our take-home whitening kits are a convenient and effective way to
brighten your smile on your own schedule. Each kit includes custom-made trays and professional-strength whitening gel to ensure safe, even, and long-lasting results.

To get started, you’ll need to come in for a quick 30-minute appointment so we can take impressions of your teeth. These molds allow us to create whitening trays that fit your mouth perfectly — which helps the gel stay in place and reduces the risk
of irritation or uneven whitening. Once your trays are ready (usually
within a few days), we’ll provide instructions so you can begin whitening at home with confidence.
